How we install standing-seam and profiled panels

Installing a metal roof requires precision, proper underlayment, and careful handling from start to finish. We begin by stripping the old roofing materials down to the structural deck and checking for rot or surface unevenness. Once the deck is clean and solid, we lay high-temperature synthetic underlayment over the entire roof to form a durable secondary water barrier.

For standing-seam systems, we measure and cut long metal panels to match the exact length of your roof slopes. We lock the concealed clips into place along each seam, allowing the metal to expand and contract naturally with changing outdoor temperatures. Because the fasteners sit hidden underneath the folded seams, they stay completely protected from direct rain, snow, and salt air. We fold locking edges at the eaves and ridge lines to keep strong winds from lifting the panels.

When installing profiled metal panels, we secure each section using specialized corrosion-resistant screws fitted with wide neoprene sealing washers. We align the overlaps carefully to create watertight joints across every slope. Around chimneys, dormers, sidewalls, and vent pipes, we custom-bend matching metal flashing to fit tight against the panel profile. We never mix dissimilar metals on your roof, as direct contact between different materials causes galvanic corrosion over time.

Once all panels and flashings are securely anchored, we clear debris off the roof surface, flush out the gutters, and sweep your driveway and yard with a magnetic roller to catch metallic fasteners and stray metal snips.
